Count and Collect Sticks

• A place in nature

Theo counts everything by default these days and to top it off he LOVES sticks.

So naturally he picks them up and counts. Right now he starts with “twoooooooooooo!” ☺️

You can take them outside and collect anything they are interested in! That is the beauty of this one, you can use what's already right in your yard! Flowers, rocks, leaves, sticks, anything works for counting. 

There are so many ways to switch this up to make it easier or more difficult. A more rote counting approach or even grouping and counting by 5’s, the ways are endless and no matter what, those brains are getting good practice that they should be getting at any young age.

Even if they are young like Theo and don't fully understand the counting sequence, they are still listening!!
