Flower Stamping and Painting

• Fake or real flowers

Luckily I had to prune a tree this morning-I used flowers from that for this activity! Now, as much as Theo enjoys painting, he wasn't very interested in this. I first put two paints out and the flowers and he briefly looked and walked away.

I left it out for a few minutes then encouraged him to try as I “demonstrated” a way to use the flowers and paint and he still wasn't buying it!

Before I knew it, it was time to go in so he never ended up taking this one on. 

It’s ok when littles don't go for the activity! You can encourage them a bunch but don't ever force them! (“You cant_____ until you try it!”, etc). This can do more harm than help!)

It’s no biggie! You providing those materials is attempt enough! Children who are given access to different materials (even if they dont use them at first or straight away) are just as encouraged and supported as the ones that do the activities every time! ☺️
