Birdseed and Birdhouse

• Items to create a “birdhouse” (I purchased a small inexpensive one from the craft store)

• Paint to decorate the house

• String to hang the house

• Bird seed

We did this activity in honor of Earth day! What a beautiful way to give back to our earth and its beautiful creatures.

Theo and I purchased a small low cost wooden birdhouse to paint. If we were handy we would have tried to build one with items we have! We painted the house for one of our activities and then filled it with bird seed and hung it outside on our tree as another activity.

We made sure to put it somewhere we would have easy access to it and made it easy to check on and refill with food. Every time we go outside to play, that's the first place we go to see what's been happening there!
