What's the weather? Song

One of Theo’s favorite songs to sing along to in the car is “What’s the weather?” on spotify. Although I know he can not fully understand all weather types and conditions, we talk about it a lot.

We get some wild weather here (hurricanes, snowstorms, etc) so why not talk about it! Usually after we sing the song we discuss what we see in the sky.

I ask him things like “What do you see?” then I provide him with options like sun, clouds, etc. This way he can start to relate the vocabulary to what he is seeing. 

For older children I would have them brainstorm types of weather and even what they think causes different types of weather. This will really get those wheels spinning and their creativity will sure show shortly after!
