Park

Park

What you will need:

  • Park Location

  • Your Kiddo

How I approached this:

So we improvised today. As nice as the park would have been, (IF other children had been there when we would have) we decided to play in our backyard instead.

There was so much opportunity for play and learning right outside our door. Although it was so slippery out we made the best of it! Theo rode his “bike”, pushed his truck, his cart and chased the dogs around.

He also got some awesome sensory play in (thanks to our cold/ice melting weather) ☺️ Theo was cracking ice and playing with the pieces of ice and the water underneath. He was “fishing out” his car keys in the shallow ice water.

Although we weren't able to try and play with others today (weather related), Theo was able to get in so much learning and exploration.

Sometimes plans don't work out but we figure more out so our littles can enjoy and flourish in their learning journey. YES we did not get to socialize at the park, however we got gross motor, sensory and exploration in our own backyard and were safe while doing so.

Mother nature set up our learning space, how much better does it get than that?
