Tupperware

Tupperware

What you will need:

  • Storage or tupperware containers that have lids that go on and come off

How I approached this:

I like this “project” because most people own some sort of tupperware or plastic storage. This is a great way to put those little brains to work!

I usually put out 3 or so tupperware pieces and cups that have fitting lids (various sizes) and naturally Theo tries to “close” them all. I stick with three max so it's not initially too challenging, but if you do need to make this a little more difficult, even over time, you can add more to the current you already have out.

If the child is young and hasn't explored like this before, offering more than three can become too overwhelming and can prevent the child from actually wanting to give the activity a go because it appears too difficult.

Then they begin to use them for other purposes (throwing) and just become purley uninterested.

Mix it up! Switch out containers- some big, some small, keep those kiddos working on strengthening those little brains!
