Theo (name) Puzzle

• Name puzzle (can be done with any letter puzzle)

This puzzle I’ve had for a while I actually got this for Theo and his first birthday. He was really excited when I took it out because I’m not really sure he realized he had it. I instantly poured it out just to see what he would do and right away he tried putting his puzzle back together.

I joked around and said this says mommy to see what he would say in response. He then told me “no this says Theo it’s my name!” Once he got all the pieces in I asked, how many letters does your name have? He then responded in a silly way and told me 10. I then asked him to count them. Once again he started up with his silly counting all out of order.

I slowly had to get him back into focus, because we were in a silly mood! Once we were able to refocus, Theo counted the four pieces in his name using 1 to 1 correspondence and used his fingers to count along. In the future I would like to get a puzzle large enough to spell out his entire name because part of me thought this might’ve been a little too easy!
