Water Table and Ice

Water Table and Ice

What you need

  • A body of water; sink, bin, water table, Bath

  • Ice -we used a ton our fridge made

How I approached this:

We decided to go with the bathtub for this one. We have done this in our sensory table as well but Theos seems to be most engaged in the bath.

There’s a lot of development opportunities for this one: Science, social, emotional, problem-solving, and of course, sensory development. Theo loves the initial “ pour-in “ then tries to grab as many as he can to collect and eat (he knows they will melt in the warm water ). This activity truly never gets old. Outcomes are almost always different, and cost is little to nothing for this activity making it totally doable for everyone!

To modify this activity you can freeze small toys or also make the ice colored using food coloring.
