Bubbles; can use in bathtub, Bin or sensory table
Trucks of any sort; we chose trucks and vehicles of different sizes
Before Theo got into the bathtub, I filled the bath with water and bubbles and he help me choose vehicles to put in. Now, I was expecting this to go so much differently than it did, but, this is his lesson to learn from.
What I expected was, he would use the trucks to scoop the bubbles or give his trucks and vehicles washes! However, instead he rinsed all of his vehicles off and lined them all up. The bubbles he Splashed in separately. We counted all the vehicles, we made guesses as to if we had more or less than 10 vehicles.
We also sorted the vehicles by size. Sometimes I forget that these lessons are for him. Maybe he needed more of a mathematical lesson and incorporated into this one! They were brief moments where the airplanes we added, flew on top of the bubbles, and we spoke about which vehicles were floating which ones were sinking and why. So, even though this activity didn’t turn out as I expected, it turned out to be just what he needed!
