Painting with Trucks and Cars

Well, this turned out to be a hit (what I hope for most of them). I put three colors out (Theo’s choices), and demonstrated a way of using them with the paint, by riding them through the paint all over a paper.

When I do this I never expect Theo to just do what I did the whole time, but instead to give him a little start to show him it's ok to get crazy with it and jump right in!

Each color was out on the center of three different papers so he could just ride right through them and not worry about dipping. He ended up making three different paintings! He spent a good amount of time here.

Something I would change about this activity would be putting smaller portions of paint on each paper-he really didn't need a huge glob on each one like I initially did.

I would also just have larger paper for this and put all the paint on one paper. I had car marks all over my kitchen floor from it going from one paper to another (which is fine-momma gets washable everything ☺️). 

Doing this in the bathtub, making the painting canvas the tub and walls might be a cool option too and a much easier way to clean afterwards!
