Sign Language book

Sign Language book

What you will need:

  • ASL toddler book

How I approached this:

“I want...Teaching your baby to sign '' by Lora Heller is one of Theo’s favorite books-we’ve probably read it 100 times. He loves doing every sign in the book, even if that means asking for help manipulating his fingers to match the sign.

I like that book because of the vocabulary they sign or words that children have heard and may use often. A child is on each page signing the word and it has a description to go with it as well as the word they are signing.

Because of his interest in that one, we purchased a second that was a little more challenging, with sentences and signing two words out of the sentence instead of the single one.

So many opportunities for fine motor growth and to learn a new language!
